Shipment - June 2006 In
the beginning of June another transport has left Stocznia WISŁA - an equipped
deckhouse and funnel, together with partly equipped shipsection.
This time, because of technological reasons, the deckhouse
was loaded over the bow of the pontoon in such a way that it's front bulkhead
was parallel to the side of the pontoon. It is a harder method of loading
as compared with loading over the side of the pontoon - loading over the bow
causes greater problems with ballasting the pontoon during sliding of the load.
As the ballasting requires removing of greater amounts of ballast water, the
loading operation had to be stopped every few meters to allow trimming of
pontoon.
In spite of that the loading operation was very smooth,
first time since long, long ago performed at favourable weather conditions.
In Stocznia WISŁA we are now
continuing work on next constructions for J. J. Sietas KG Shipyard, as well as
for Aker Finnyards and Gdańsk Shiprepair Yard.
Also the works on assembly of the new gantry crane of the Shipsection Production
Department have gained speed.
